Scoops has the most amazing Ice Cream. Lots of flavors to choose from - my favorite is the German Chocolate - and the staff is wonderful. Highly recommend!

Love this place, the midnight chocolate is my favorite. My wife loves the coconut flavor. Just FYI, they only take cash, so no credit cards .

We found this place by accident but we’re so happy we did ! We just left Rainbow Springs and wanted some ice cream! Don’t know the area so looked it up and there it was. Cash only! So bring cash but other than that. It’s family owned and everybody was super friendly and happy to have us there ! Ice cream was delicious and lots of options !!!

We visited Scoops in the fall of 2025. I can’t believe we waited so long before our first visit. Although they are not the closest or easiest ice cream store for us to get to. They are convenient enough for us, that we probably will visit them more often. They might even become our go to place. I guess that says something to say that we’ll probably drive further, past other ice cream stores to come here. Scoops are located in a strip mall. That is good and bad in regard’s to parking and access. There is plenty of parking, but you may have to walk a little bit depending on the other business traffic. They have an overhead veranda outside the store front that provides shelter from the sun and rain. That is a good thing if you choose to partake of your frozen treat at one of their available tables out in front of the store front. The inside of Scoops has additional tables if you choose to eat your treat inside the store with climate control. (We ate inside) The store itself is kind of decorated in the old time ice cream store theme. And they did it pretty well. They even play older music (when we visited) from the 20th century. The newest and first song that I noticed was from the 1970’s. Then older yet. It brought back memories to go with the theme and decor of that old time ice cream shop. They have a good assortment of ice cream flavors to choose from. I should point out that it is good quality, hard serve ice cream. Scoops only deals in cash, so be prepared if you choose to visit. And they have a wide variety of sizes to choose from as well. I felt that the portions were quite good for the price point they charge for their product. Scoops are probably better than their competitors in the value vs price point comparison. But I cannot say for sure, since it’s only my opinion. There was only one employee present at the time of our visit, which was mid afternoon. But she had no problem keeping up with customers at the time. She also was very friendly to every customer who entered the store while we were there. Every customer received a nice welcome as they entered. Scoops was just a really nice ice cream experience, that did a good job of bringing us back in time. Yes I could nit pick little things. But we’re not looking for a “Fantasy Island” experience (for the less young folks). Just a fun ice cream shop that kind of replicates how it was back in the day. And Scoops did a nice job providing that. As such, I do recommend them for your next ice cream experience. Maybe I’ll see you there.

My parents have visited this shop several times and praised it several times to me, so I suggested we swing by after lunch today because I was visiting Ocala. It's a nice little family owned shop with lots of good vibes and many, many flavors to choose from. We met Ann the owner who reminds you of an exceedingly nice mom in your friends group. And then there was Summer, the super cute and friendly gal helping Ann. It was such a nice visit and the mint cookie ice cream was awesome! Great to find a flavor that's a little less known. There should be more places like this in the world, less corporate and more personal. Thanks to Ann and Summer for making our day just that much better. I highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone.

They have sugar free flavors that are not boring. Along with a ton of other flavors. Will be back and the staff was extremely friendly

Stopped in on the way home from dinner and got some scoops in a bowl to take home. I did not know they were a cash-only establishment; Geez I haven't carried cash in a long time. The lady gave me a receipt and said come pay later when you get cash. So I did, the next morning. OH, great ice cream too!

Been coming here for years and it’s never a let down! The best ice cream …. Delicious! Lots of different flavors, large scoops. Chocolate cones. Every you can expect from a good ice cream place!! It’s a must if your looking for the best !! I will be back, when Iam back In down.
